Solidworks on computers
Hello, I'm an exchange student and I would like to ask if it's possible to have access to softwares such as SolidWorks on the computers of the 1F of the library. Thank you.
Answer
Hello, and welcome to DGIST!
Let me guide you on how to use the public computers in the lounge and access software.
To use the computers in the lounge (Room 108) on the 1st floor of the library, please follow these steps:
1. Visit the lounge (Room 108) and turn on a vacant computer.
2. A user network authentication window will appear when connecting to the network for the first time.
3. Login using your DGIST student portal ID and password. Ensure that you complete the network authentication, as you won't be able to access the internet without it.
4. After you finish, click the 'G' icon in the taskbar and select 'Log out(사용자 인증 해제)' to deauthenticate yourself before shutting down the computer.
Regarding SolidWorks, this software is not included in DGIST's subscription services. You can view the list of software provided by DGIST here (navigate to: IT Resources Guide > Software). If you have a personal paid subscription or are using a free version, you may install and use it. Just be sure to log out of your account or uninstall the software after use. Additionally, please review the software copyright guide here (navigate to: IT Services Guide > Copyright Infringement Guide) before using any software.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the library at any time.
Thank you.
