My students are having access issues to multiple databases
This is Professor Riley and I am currently using Gale and ProQuest in my classes. I have multiple students who are not able to access these or other databases. My students keep getting a pop up that says the site is blocked and it will not allow them to progress. In each case, the students were logged into the library, I had them try changing the wifi between eduroam and DGIST, and the issue persisted. Please help provide me with a way to solve this issue.
Answer
Dear Professor Riley,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. There are two ways to access the Gale and ProQuest databases:
-
On-campus Network Access: When connected to the DGIST network, your IP address will be automatically authenticated. Please ensure that you are using the DGIST Wi-Fi.
-
Access via the Library Website: After logging into the library website, please navigate to the Online Resources > Databases section and use the provided links for Gale and ProQuest. If you are using the eduroam Wi-Fi, we recommend this second method for access.
If any access issues persist, please capture a screenshot of the error message and send it to the library at library@dgist.ac.kr. We will assist you in resolving the problem.
